Great walk from wasdale carpark. Just have to be careful coming down , there was a lot of loose rocks and stones. Lots of great views would have been even better if there hadn't been any low clouds

I parked at Seathwaite Farm Camping (£5 for a car, £10 for overnight) on a clear May the 3rd day. Very quiet, well looked after place. Wished I could have stayed over. Gorgeous scenery! I took a trail through Tailor Gyl Forces and Green Gable, Windy Cap - there are so many trails to choose from and explore according upon the chalange level you want, one day was not for me. Met few other hikers- even had a good laugh together. All day was amazing experience.

We took the great gable circular from seathwaite and turned off for Great gable at Styhead gill. Great walk, lovely views. I will say, all paths disappear and you need to be comfortable with heights and a small scramble towards the summit as the terrain is very rocky/ bouldery. Views are 360 though, some of the best in the lake District! (I've added photos of the "path" towards the summit.

One of the greatest views from the Great Gable👌 I've chosen the harder route to scramble via Needle Ridge. It was a beautiful day for it..a bit windy, but that didn't stop me to have a good time in the mountains.. Views all the way to the top were breathtaking.. You can see Wastwater, while climbing up.. There is an easier route to do it, if you don't fancy a scramble..

A top iconic Wainwright but worked quite hard to get here from Seathwaite Farm as I was doing a route from Stuart Marshall's book taking in Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Great Gable, Green Gable and Base Brown. Superb outing! Great views to be had all round all along the route.

Cracking loop walk from Seathwaite. Came back down via Climbers Path which is a little hard to locate sometimes. Down beside Taylor Gill Force waterfall. Lovely walk with lots of variation and great views.

Absolutely stunning. The views from great gable on a clear day are mind blowing. It's a well located mountain for views all around on a clear day. Route up isn't to bad with a well created mountain path from the national Trust. My route was from Seathwaite, which has limited parking on a grass verge by the main bridge. There is a working farm at the end of this road which has a camp site and toilets for the public to use. Please keep the roads and farm access points clear when parking your car. There are gates around this area for the farmer to access their fields and blocking them is easily enough done when parking runs out. Please help to keep the access points clear for the farmer. Enjoy your walk.

Fantastic climb, with terrific views over to Scafell and down the Wasdale valley. We climbed up from Wasdale head taking the path to the right of the mountain and came back down from the left. This route is probably the best as you get the better views coming down. On a good day suitable for children capable of coping with scrambling over loose stones and rocks. Took 5 hours (youngest child in our group was 10).
